For this year Miss Universe Myanmar National Costume is Thanaka. Hundreds of years ago Thanaka is used by Burmese women as a natural cosmetic, to keep their skin looking youthful and it remains extremely popular. To get the best quality pieces of bark, the tree must be at least 8 years above. Thanaka is readily available at local markets in the country. In order to prepare it, firstly drop some water to produce the cream. The creamy paste can be applied to your face and body with a simple finger, or with a brush. When you are visiting Myanmar, you will wounded why the faces of women are applied with Thanaka. Thanaka is one of the well-known logo for Myanmar and that is why I’ve created National Costume for Miss Universe Myanmar this year.

ယခုႏွစ္ မယ္စၾကာဝဠာျမန္မာအလွမယ္ရဲ႕ အမ်ိဳးသားဝတ္စံုအား သနပ္ခါးကိုရည္ညႊန္းၿပီး ဖန္တီးထားျခင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ သနပ္ခါးကို ေရွးႏွစ္ေပါင္းမ်ားစြာကတည္းက ျမန္မာအမ်ိဳးသမီးမ်ားရဲ႕သဘာဝအလွကုန္ပစၥည္းအျဖစ္ သံုးစြဲလာခဲ့ၾကတာျဖစ္တဲ့အျပင္ အသားအေရထိန္းသိမ္းေပးတဲ့ ပစၥည္းအျဖစ္လည္း လူသိမ်ားထင္ရွားပါတယ္။ အရည္အေသြးေကာင္းမြန္တဲ့ သနပ္ခါးအေခါက္ကိုရရိွဖို႔အတြက္ သနပ္ခါးအပင္ကို ၈ ႏွစ္ေက်ာ္ေလာက္ေစာင့္ဆိုင္းရပါတယ္။ သနပ္ခါးကို ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမွာလြယ္ကူစြာ ဝယ္ယူရရိွႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ သနပ္ခါးအတံုးကို ေက်ာက္ပ်ဥ္ေပၚမွာ ေရအနည္းငယ္နဲ႔ေသြးၿပီး အႏွစ္ရေအာင္အရင္လုပ္ရပါတယ္။ ရရိွလာတဲ့သနပ္ခါးအႏွစ္ကို လက္ေခ်ာင္း (သို႔မဟုတ္) သြားပြတ္တံလိုမ်ိဳး ဘရပ္ရွ္ ကို အသံုးျပဳၿပီး မ်က္ႏွာ ႏွင့္ ခႏၶာကိုယ္တြင္ လြယ္ကူစြာလိမ္းျခယ္အသံုးျပဳႏိုင္ပါတယ္။
ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံကိုလာေရာက္လည္ပတ္တဲ့အခါ သနပ္ခါးလိမ္းျခယ္ထားတဲ့ အမ်ိဳးသမီးအမ်ားအျပားကို ေတြ႕ရိွႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ သနပ္ခါးဟာ ျမန္မာလူမ်ိဳးေတြအတြက္ လူသိမ်ားထင္ရွားတဲ့ အမွတ္အသားတစ္ခုျဖစ္တာေၾကာင့္ ယခုႏွစ္ မယ္စၾကာဝဠာျမန္မာရဲ႕ အမ်ိဳးသားဝတ္စံုအျဖစ္ ရိုးရွင္းစြာ ဖန္တီးပံုေဖာ္တင္ဆက္ထားျခင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
